The Performance Theatre major is designed for young actors who are serious about their craft. Through challenging coursework and guidance from an actor-teacher, students develop their skills in all aspects of acting and theatre. Each year, the program presents five full productions, giving students a chance to explore a wide variety of repertoire and roles. The performance training is Stanislavsky-based and incorporates techniques designed to help the students explore the full potential of their own unique resources. When students leave McCallum, they have a broad range of experiences and are prepared for success in university, conservatory, and/or professional theatre.
